The Premier League engages ID Inquiries Ltd to act on its behalf and to assist in the identification of licensed premises illegally showing live FA Premier League football matches, whether during the “closed period” (each Saturday between 14.45 and 17.15) or without the appropriate commercial subscription. Only the Premier League’s authorised licensees in the UK (Sky UK, BT and Amazon) can broadcast live Premier League matches in commercial premises such as Pubs, Clubs and Hotels in the UK. This means that commercial premises that use unauthorised foreign satellite cards and/or websites to show live coverage of Premier League matches are infringing the Premier League’s copyright.

As such, our aim is to identify licensed premises acting illegally in this way and collect the appropriate information to ensure future compliance.
